The specific qualification is recognised by employers in the relevant field. This is the critical check. A TVEC-registered qualification from a credible provider in a high-demand field carries real market value. A poorly regarded qualification in a saturated field, however, does not.
TVET works less effectively in fields where:
Employer demand has not kept pace with TVET supply. Some TVET fields are crowded, with more graduates than employers need. Beauty therapy and some hospitality areas are examples where the supply of TVET graduates exceeds consistent employer demand.
