Is this a course you would want to complete even if you get a university placement? If the honest answer is no if you would drop it immediately for any university placement regardless of quality or fit, then starting it may not be the right commitment. Start something you would genuinely want to see through.
What is the enrolment and withdrawal policy? Understand clearly what happens financially and academically if you need to pause or withdraw from the course. A credible provider will be transparent about this before enrolment.
Does the course fit your financial situation right now? The waiting period is often a time of financial uncertainty for families. Choose a course that makes sense given your current situation, with a payment plan if needed.
